THE START OF THINGS

When founders Nicholas Zinas and Panos Mitsios met, they were leading digital transformation projects in manufacturing and construction, experiencing firsthand the inefficiencies of outdated systems and software. They discovered that everyone was spending over a third of their day assembling spreadsheets, responding to emails, and searching for information.

So, Nicholas and Panos built a tool to simplify process digitization and help teams coordinate their work.They tested their prototype at the Digital Gate Innovation Challenge, addressing key emergency response processes for Athens International Airport—and won. AIA became Tekmon’s first customer, and their journey began.

WHAT’S IN A NAME?

The name Tekmon pays tribute to the city of Ioannina, the largest city in the Epirus region of northwestern Greece and today an emerging innovation hub. Tekmon is the name of an ancient acropolis located on the outskirts of the city, in a region that was home to Olympias, the mother of Alexander the Great.
